Jen Banks

I was born on September 08 1976 in a small Ohio town where I lived for 28 years. Until flood waters swept through our home of nine years. Though the waters destroyed almost everything, I found it also brought about a cleansing to my life. A form of rebirth if you will, my husband was offered a job at a new Harley Davidson dealership in the Smoky Mountains .Bringing us a new start in a truly breathtaking place, Maryville TN. We have a five year old son who is too cute and smart for his own good!!! But whom I love with every once of my being. I am a complete nature freak as well as just a freak in general ;) .
I love all of natures creatures little and big alike even the creepy ones. I frequently sit outside with a cup of java , a pen and pad letting the scenery here overtake me giving way to the words that flow from my subconscious into my pen and out onto the blank pages beneath it. My son and hubby are my first loves,
coming in second are the arts in their many brilliant and glorious forms, I have an immense passion for painting, with oils being my medium of choice.
There is something so very irresistible about their texture and smell, the way the colors flow upon the canvas.
I am currently writing a book of poems as well as a series of Vampire novels (of a some what erotic nature) as of late I have also been trying my hand at photography which I find I really enjoy. Though I myself am rhythmically challenged I let the music from various outside sources flow through my ears into my veins
and rest in my soul, where it leaves traces of inspiration and light that feeds my being and pushes me to create art in many forms.

Some of my favorite poets are Poe, David Gilmour, MJK and Keith Loines whose words of inspiration and poetry have gotten me off my butt and writing again.
Most importantly brought me here to the Shadow Poets Society of whom I admire immensely each and every one of you!!!!
