Serpents Touch
Smooth scales slither over my skin
As soft, seductive words are whispered within
My ears so near to those lustful lips
Across which this temptation slides and slips
And I try to resist the serpent's will.
Mascara dark eyes and lucid dreams
But what it offers isn't what it seems
For those sad, sanguine lips just might
Conceal in their kiss a poisonous bite
And I try to resist the serpent's will.
Wrapped in her coils, trapped by desire
My blood burning hot, my veins filled with fire
Hypnotic eyes silently beg me believe
With promised pleasures it seeks to deceive
And I try to resist the serpent's will.
It's lies, offers of things once forbidden
Devouring, consuming those things I keep hidden
In it's relentless pursuit my world falls apart
For it stops at nothing to swallow my heart
And I try to resist - but the serpent will.
