Alternative Healing

It is often said that
The path to healing
Is forgiveness?

I suggest as an alternative,
Anger….as white hot
As the passion was in the beginning.

Define that anger
And picture it as
An amorphous black blob

Almost exactly like
A picture of the pain
That exists while we attempt to forgive.

Seize that blob
Crumble it into a tighter ball
And discard it like yesterdays trash.

Exactly like the
Way the white hot passion
Was discarded.

To the same heap
Where he or she
Who turned their back
