Awakenings


Why do I get up so early you ask?
To greet my rebirth

Each and every day
Provides me the opportunity
To make a fresh start
To be the best me that I can be

The universe greets me
With a smile in every golden sunrise
It says to me, "You're ALIVE,
Now LIVE"

I figure that if the universe
Cares enough
To smile so brightly on me

Shouldn't I return the favor?
