Joy 


Why don't we express joy?
we do very well at expressing anger
we do very well at expressing hate
we do very well at expressing frustration
maybe we're ashamed of joy

Maybe we should define it
Joy is seeing the red/gold majesty of a sunrise
when we weren't sure that we would
Joy is seeing a puppy yelp after chasing it's tail
and finding it
Joy is singing along to a favorite song on the car radio
and seeing the guy in the car next to you doing the same thing
Joy is waking up to find that she/he has left you an email
that says "just because"

Joy is MORE than an _expression
it's what being ALIVE is REALLY about
