MORE THAN JUST BRICK

Standing all solitary
Brick and mortar rising
Turrets with flags unfurled
Acting as a bunker in the storm
Barbarians may try to storm the gates
But steel and oaken timber refuse to yield
For none may enter that do not come in peace
For this is more than a construct of stone and such
This is a slowly crafted living, breathing Entity with constant additions
Yes, WELCOME to Castle de Fairchild
A castle only in the imagination and in the builder's eye
If you come in peace, friendship or love you will be welcomed with open arms
But those burdened with hate, spite or ignorance will not enter these halls
False friends will be quickly but politely ejected
For frivolity, life and joy are the entertainment of the evening
Good times are to be had by all
This is a refuge for those seeking solace and understanding
Yet remember to understand others, you must first understand yourself
This is also true of love and respect
This castle we speak of changes location frequently
And to the more mundane eye changes shape with every move
Oh it may look like a tent, a hovel and sometimes something more
But never fear it is truly a castle in spirit
The roof may leak and the winter winds find cracks to whistle through
But it shall stand up to times tortures and interruptions
My castle is open to you and the hospitality of those within is impeccable
Kindly wipe your feet as you enter my humble abode
Remove your overcoat and unburden your self of all troubles at least for the evening
My castle is warm and friendly with just the right balance of chi
Take up a chair and pass the hot chocolate while I get the marshmallows
Many have checked into my castle yet few have ever left for very long
I'll keep the drawbridge down for your next visit and hope it's soon
