Moonlit Meal

In the quiet heat of the moist Solstice night
She bears her throat and soul to the lustful wolf
Under a deep red Hunter's Moon they embrace
Unchecked passions spark fires never to be extinguished

Yet he who would slake his unquenchable thirst hesitates
Can she really know the depths of that which she offers?
That to bite this apple will forever bind him to her bidding
No mere dalliance as this wolf bonds for all lifetime, longer

Fighting his passionate nature he keeps it firmly in check
Buried amongst a mass of writhing, competing emotions
All vying for a chance to burst forth to the surface triumphant
Churning confliction's and desires pulling his heart strings

Passion that has grown past boundless since they first met
Intense love for her on his part that has and will never waned
The lurking fear that these feelings will not be returned, dashed
Followed by the lingering doubt that there might be one better for her

Pulled six ways to disaster he pushes these quandaries back down
Directed back to her most vexing, pleasurable and seductive offering
Choosing only to nuzzle and caress the lovely pale throat extended
Time enough to dine more fully upon her fascinating wares at a later date

For he has tasted Paradise in her most pleasant and exciting form
One day he can explain with clarity his full and solum passion for her
How he feels for her and what it means to the heart's internal workings
That to fully drink of her essence delightfully damns him to her eternally
