Love's Rays

Unconditional Love is just that
Like the sun it simply emits energy
Even on the gloomiest of days
Where not a ray of it is seen
Love is pounding away, blazing stronger
Unclouded by doubts or stormy emotions
Looking past obstacles
Ever present speed bumps
I can't say I'd do anything for Love
Because there are some things Love wouldn't ask of me
Some principles I couldn't break even for Love's cost
I couldn't remain steadfast and faithful without them
Love can bend these codes like reeds in the wind
Without breaking either heart or soul
Take my feelings as they are given, freely
Love is not a condition but a result
An ever growing island of the soul
Growing more lush and fertile with practice
Always room for more Love in all it's forms
It is nature's wondrous acceptance distilled
Filtering out Jealousy, Envy and other green monsters
I'll openly express my love for many in as many strengths
Some are frightened by my firm belief in my love for them
Fear is not the product of Love but of past doubts
I can Love many in as many varied ways and still have room
To find new ways to love yet stronger and further
It's not the journey to Love but the ripples back from
the soft overlapping waves of gentle surf resulting
Slowly wearing down all resistance as futile
To ask me not to tell you I Love You
Is like asking the sun not to rise today
Both are impossible and unthinkable
Yet my telling and showing love is only a third of it
The interaction of our hearts and needs well up
Overflowing a cistern of sweet liquid best shared by many
Love is best Shared in mass quantity and supersized
A plate never emptied nor ever spoiled, always ready
Manna from the Heavens and simple fare to be enjoyed
Love is a staple that grows with each sharing moment
Love is given and even if returned through another's channels
It's through the sharing that it's return is assured and cherished
So I'll always dare to Love, risking rejection or misunderstandings
It is better that I temp the Fates and remind many of Love
Accepting from others the same feelings I would have you accept
