It seems I've walked this path before possibly many times
The sense of De ja vu is growing with every step I take down this life's trail
I stop at forks in the path knowing what lies down one path but pondering the 
end
if I took the second path instead
Torn by the knowledge that I could play it safe or take the 2nd trail offered 
I decide to risk the unknown turn hoping to do things better this time around
These new trails lead to just as many heartbreaks and joys as the old path
But with each step off the beaten path I find new possibilities offered 
Given these new choices and new life experiences sets my heart to flight
On wings of passion I will soar correcting my flight with kind words to 
friends & loves
Using love as a rudder to guide this boat of life I shall brave the uncharted 
Sea of Decision that flows out from my new path ever changing and reforming 
For these are trips of the mind, not of distance or of times past
Taken willingly these journeys lead to a better life
Oh not in large ways but in the small details that makes life full
Small steps taken to bring happiness to others
Forgiveness given where grudges would form 
Choosing to love rather than hate, making small marks on the world as we pass 
by
For truly every day, every hour, minute and second is our second chance
Rarely are we really bound to one path, doomed to repeat our mistakes 
Experience teaches, love guides and knowledge allows us to grasp these second 
chances, if we are quick and alert to them
My only need is a partner to bravely take this lovely path with me till the 
end of time and beyond into the glorious future that it holds for us both
