I try to write, really I do...
but my pen falls silent
"You can't force inspiration." they say,
but what if its my sanity?

I yearn to write, really I do
but I just can't seem to focus
"You just need to be patient." they say,
but writing is my release...

I need to write, really I do
but the words refuse to come
"you have to just let it flow" they say
but I have rapids for emotion

I have to write, really I to
but I don't know what to tell
"Just write what you feel." they say,
but what if I can't feel?

I can't write...not today.
