Cruelty emptiness sorrow and pain

I stared into your soul that day,
there was nothing there for me.
when I look into your eyes,
emptiness is all I see.

I have given you everything,
yet, my love is not returned.
there is a poison in my blood,
the sorrow from the lessons learned.

overwhelmed, I collapse to the floor,
from the pain of love long dead.
corruption of the perfect soul,
this nagging ache inside my head.

you said you only spoke the truth
yet, you hid the cruelty from my eyes.
It was emptiness that I unknowingly saw,
and now, it is my love that dies.
