This is me trailing behind

This has become a disturbing trend

I will look upon you with that same stupid smile
And finally prove to you that all the while
The treatment you presented is what you got back
No phone calls, or letters, or physical contact
See what it's like to be kept in the dark
To have the worst pain imaginable run through your heart
And when you finally realize just how much pain you gave me
When you ran away and took away my baby
Then maybe you'll see just how fucking evil you are
And as far as strength you aren't even par
The whole time I looked frail and weak
I was actually at my peak
And then you'll spend sleepless nights in tears
Your mind playing out your worst fears
Of never seeing your daughter ever again
Never knowing where she is or where's she's been
Never seeing how she's grown or hear her little voice
All because you never gave me the choice
There will always be something you can't give her so don't bother
No matter how much you try to forget it, I am her father
And mark these words and remember them well
So that when everything falls apart you'll be able to tell
That this prophecy was true to the very last word
And recall all of the warnings that should have heard
