Longing
A shiver comes with touch
And touch is ne'er felt by me
But I felt it once by night
Then your fingers took flight
Leaving traces of what can never be
And in the recesses of loneliness
In the roughest terrain of going through life solo
The mind all but wishes
The lips desire sweet kisses
Longing
Another heartbeat and another moment passes
Trying to see this love wearing a blindfold beneath my
glasses
My hands reach and my heart sings
But loneliness is all it brings
Because you're on the other side of the thin window
And it won't break no matter how many rocks I throw
And so I'll sit here thinking of you
How we're together then wishing it was true
And banging my head against a wall
Trying to fly, only to fall
And hoping that your arms will catch me there
With a smile or a word to let me know that you care
But I know you'll just be gone again
Telling me that I'm just your friend
Leaving me to continue to dream
And desire you like a raindrop longs for the sea
