Special Report
Channel after channel of war coverage
When it was us who were creating casualties
But when one of our own lay down his life
You fill the screen with trivialities
A few seconds of time
To report some heinous crime
And 10 minutes about a celebrity trial
The state of our nation
Or some other abomination
But we'd rather know what clothes are in style
So won't you please tell me
How many cups of tea
Some man I don't know drank in Japan
While the son of my neighbor
Who is the real savior
Is out there staying alive as long as he can
Give me a reason
Give me a sign
Give me some comfort
Give me some time
I can't go on listening to the rabble I hear
About the wonderful things that aren't happening here
