Deletrea Martin

Unwritten poem Waves
Wearer of the Mask where she lives
Why You'll Be Just Fine
Sleep Tight The Essence of the Winds of Change
The Fragrance of Friendship The Phoenix
The Spyder Three All Wrapped in One
Too Hard To Play Storms
Spontaneous Harpy Precious
She Supplication
Syrup Like a Warm Light in the Dark of Night
Make A Decision Moon Hugs and Wind Kisses
No Band-Aids Night Mares
Prolifically Profane Existence Reality Never Quite Fit Her
I Will Individuality
Inside Out It don't matter
I saw myself Circumstantial Woes
Death Has Come Too Soon Fine as Candy
Grandfather Moon He doesn't understand
He Said She Said Hold On
Amber-ed Past Another Child's Gone
Birds Fly Fish Swim Bottled Buddies

My name is Deletrea even though my birth certificate
says it's Patricia. Being a Gemini allows me to have
at least two names.

My friends say I have an amazing heart, although I
tend to disagree. I'm as narcissistic and verbose as I
am obsessive and introspective. I fear intimacy and
often create drama. I've made annoying others into an
art. Because I avoid things that don't interest me, my
living spaces tend to resemble colorful garbage dumps
without the horrid smell.

(I should mention I have a twisted sense of humor.)

I love reading and writing poetry. There are so many
wonderful poets, so many incredible poems, so many
canvases painted with words out there.

Five years ago, I started writing poetry. Playing with
emotions actually. Putting them down on paper because
talking about some things is too hard sometimes. I was
born into a dysfunctional family and in keeping up
with the Jones', I've managed to maintain an
impressive measure of neuroticism. My writings are
quite elementary. Nothing eloquent about my style.
Just plain and simple. Like me.
