Vengeance of Shou-Rin

Atop the icy steel blade
Encased in a shroud of stone
Shou-Rin stands eternal watch
Awaiting the return of The One

Many years ago he came
And did battle with her mate
Her mate, in protection of Shou-Rin
Sealed in blood his fate

Far away he took The One
And battled to the death
Pulling the blade from her mate's dead heart
Shou Rin swore, till her dying breath

"I will keep this blade as sacred
And return justice to your name
The one who took my mate from me
I, shall his life claim

The One who wielded the fateful blade
And struck the fatal blow
Will be vanquished, his life wiped out
Down this blade his blood will flow"

Many had come to kill Shou-Rin
Now the last of her great race
She conquered all yet never pulled
The blade from it's sacred place

One day upon the far horizon
A dark cloud begins to form
Wrapping her claw around the blade
Shou-Rin smiles, her blood grows warm

The One approaches to kill again
Shou-Rin prepares herself to fight
The One charges on his ebony steed
Shou-Rin spreads her wings for flight

Upon the plain below they meet
A strong wind begins to blow
For many hours the fight does last
The wind, in strength, does grow

The One grows tired and weary
Shou-Rin grins with fierce delight
Into his heart the blade is thrust
Shou-Rin claims victory of the fight

The One now dead, justice is served
Yet her mate cannot return
Shou-Rin presses the blade to her chest
As the sands begin to churn

Flying in with strength renewed
Shou-Rin's mate is alive again
Justice has served, his life returned
Together they return to their den

Shou-Rin and her mate now have the task
Of filling the earth with their kind
The justice of Dragons is ne'er to be crossed
Or blood spilt you shall find.
