Haiku

Walking stick of wood
Supporting a feeble man
Mobile thanks to you

Puddles to jump in
Bringing back the child in me
Feeling innocent

Sun peeking through clouds
Forcing the darkness aside
Shine on my new life

Dark and cloudy sky
Covering all that is bright
Everything but me

Sleeping little cat
Without a care in the world
I envy your peace

Raindrops pouring down
Washing away all the filth
Please take mine with you

Exhaling haiku
Words flowing from my pencil
Many thoughts, few words

Dancing on Paper
Words forming elegant steps
The rhythm of life

Shining ray of light
Flashing across the heavens
Please show me your source

Wee river island
Can you give me solitude
From this crazy world

Warm inviting death
Release from this world's problems
Please come find me soon

Little budding tree
Springing forth with fruitfulness
I envy your blooms

Barn covered in vines
What secrets do you enclose?
Be my safe haven

Bright and blinding sun
Scorching my delicate skin
Burn my cares away

Sleek and hungry cat
Stalking your prey precisely
Kill that ball of string

white haired old woman
Where has your life taken you?
Teach me your wisdom

Majestic Sea Witch
Sailing on the seven seas
Please take me away

Tall and slender tree
Your foliage out of reach
Your strength is your height

Giant cup of Chai
Soothing wary soul and mind
Essence of nutmeg

Glaring angry eyes
Focus your madness elsewhere
I'm stronger than you

Mystical Mountain
Filled with every sort of life
Laughter in the breeze

Glowing orange flame
Warmth to my mind and my soul
Mesmerizing spark

Cool autumn breezes
Rushing through colorful trees
Bringing refreshment

Polluted river
Three eyed frogs and finless fish
Death by mankind's greet

Trees of orange-red
Lining a well beaten path
Make young and old smile

Fish feeding frenzy
All after pellets of food
Thrown by tiny hands

Curling waves of blue
Formed by the moons great power
I watch you with awe

Vase of silken plants
Lit by fluorescent sun light
Imitating life

Happy wagging tail
begging me for a biscuit
drool falls on my shoe

Photos capture life
preserving for all to see
exquisite moments

Temporary

Bottled happiness
Can only last a short time
Then misery strikes

Protection

The tiger chases
His weak and powerless prey
Do not leave the herd

Freedom Fire

Floating gray ashes
Free of their wooden prison
Fly where the wind blows
