In Honor
In
Regretful times of bloody war
The days since and evermore
Let us not forget those of unselfish giving
Flanders
A place of eternal rest
Men who fell in their honored quest
For peace among the living
Fields
Of poppies grace their tombs
Gifts of remembrance from nature's womb
To revere the morally driven.
The
Years have passed, several now.
Our youths, we teach their heads to bow
In a moments prayer of remembrance and thanksgiving.
Poppies
Worn over our hearts
In respect of the life's that did depart
To end a war we fear ever reliving.
Blow
The constant winds of change
And with it the soldiers names
Woe if we forget their valor, it shall go unforgiven.
